The common faults and troubleshooting methods of CB-FC pumps are mainly divided into four categories: performance, mechanical, sealing, and electrical issues, as well as corresponding troubleshooting and solution steps.

1、 Performance malfunction
Insufficient flow head

Reason: impeller damage, seal ring wear, insufficient speed, valve not fully open, suction pipeline leakage or blockage, medium density mismatch, device head mismatch.
Solution: Replace the impeller or seal, adjust the speed, open the valve, seal the leak, clean the blockage, recalculate the motor power or reduce the installation height.
No traffic

Reason: Power failure, relay or contactor malfunction.
Solution: Check the power supply, replace damaged relays or contactors.

2、 Mechanical malfunction
Vibration and noise

Reason: Bearing damage, cavitation, poor assembly (such as different shafts, unstable foundation, and stiff piping).
Handling: Replace bearings, optimize suction conditions, calibrate alignment, reinforce foundations, adjust piping.
Bearing overheating

Reason: Excessive or insufficient lubricating oil, deterioration, unit misalignment, vibration.
Handling: Adjust oil level, replace lubricating oil, check alignment, balance rotor or adjust to low flow operation.

3、 Sealing malfunction
Sealing leakage
Reason: Improper sealing material, worn friction pair, uneven dynamic and static rings, and damaged O-ring.
Solution: Replace the seal, adjust the spring pressure, reinstall the seal assembly, and replace the O-ring.

4、 Electrical malfunction
Motor overload
Reason: Misalignment between pump and prime mover, increased medium density, friction in rotating parts, and reduced device resistance.
Handling: Adjust the alignment, change the operating process, repair the friction area, and check the pipeline pressure.

5、 Other faults
The pump cannot output liquid
Reason: There is air in the suction pipeline or pump, valves are closed, head is too high, suction pipe leaks, impeller rotation is incorrect, suction height is too high, suction pipe diameter is too small or blocked, and speed is not consistent.
Handling: Fill the liquid, open the valve, replace the high head pump, seal the leak, correct the steering, lower the installation height, increase the pipe diameter or clean the blockage, adjust the speed.

6、 Maintenance suggestions
Regular inspection: appearance, performance, vibration, and noise testing.
Maintenance: Replace vulnerable parts such as bearings and seals, and maintain cleanliness and lubrication.
Correct use: Follow the instructions to avoid overloading and prolonged shutdown.
Professional training: Improve the user and maintenance skills of operators.
